At Vodkatrain the safety of our clients is paramount. When world events occur we consult a number of sources and evaluate the situation before making any operational changes to current or upcoming itineraries. These include government advisories and the World Health Organisation appraisals, the expert and in depth knowledge of our local partners who are constantly monitoring condition, as well as assessments by our people on the ground who provide an immediate response from our destinations.
We always endeavour to provide an alternative that will not diminish the overall experience of your journey when itineraries have to change. In extreme situations we may choose to cancel departures.
We would encourage you to ensure that you have comprehensive insurance prior to travel and to do some research on the destinations that you are travelling to. Our Travel Advisors will happily provide you with more information as required.

Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) (Updated 23 March 2020)
COVID-19 is having an unprecedented impact globally with daily announcements of border closures and flight suspensions making it increasingly difficult for travellers. The safety and well being of our clients is our first and highest priority. With this in mind we have no choice but to suspend our journeys up until 30 June 2020 due to logistical restraints.
Given the unprecedented impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) we have updated our Booking Conditions and cancellation policies to adapt to the constantly evolving nature of this pandemic. The most recent update took immediate effect on 14 March 2020 and have been updated to reflect current suspension periods through to the end of June.
May & June 2020
Tours are suspended for this period.
If you have booked a journey departing between 16 March 2020 and 30 June 2020 you will receive a travel credit to put towards an alternative tour with a departure date before 30 June 2022, minus any third party payments that are non-recoverable. Third party payments may include but are not limited to: airfares, visa cost, travel insurance and non-refundable land costs where prepayments have been made and no refund is available. We are working on recovering as much monies as possible and will continue to do so.
July 2020 onwards
Journeys departing from 01 July are continuing to operate as planned. We will be working through journeys in departure date order. If there are changes, or if your journey is suspended, you will be notified directly by our Travel Advisors or your travel agent.
If you choose to cancel your journey departing from 1-31 July 2020, you will receive a travel credit of monies paid less non-recoverable third party payment paid to use towards an alternative journey with a departure date before 30 June 2022.
August 2020 onwards
For all journeys departing from 01 August, if you choose to amend or cancel your booking standard terms and conditions apply as detailed in our Booking Conditions.
